Hey Dream Team!

Thank you for checking out the blog! Our desire is that you are equipped and infused with vision as a leader on our campus. We love you and thank you for your consistent involvement!

BAPTISM
This weekend we will be having water baptisms! Let’s be in faith as leaders for all of those that will be participating in this awesome event. Baptisms will be incorporated into the weekend service, along with everything else that usually occurs (message, worship, etc.) – and we will still get you out on time!

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Last Corporate Fast of the Month
As leaders on our campus, let’s finish this month strong as we continue fasting and praying. There are big breakthroughs that God wants us to experience corporately and individually, so let’s not grow weary right at the end!

This upcoming Wednesday, January 29th, will be our last corporate fast of the month and we are expecting BIG things; and we don’t want any of our leaders to miss it! Thank you being so faithful to the Word that God has given us; it is awesome to see such loyal group of people rise up in this Valley.

Marriage/Relationship Workshop
Make sure to join us on Wednesday’s, February 5th, 12th, and 19th for our 10 Commandments of Marriage Workshop. This workshop will take place at the Clovis campus and we hope that everyone can participate. This Workshop is not just for those that are married, but for anyone that wants to have healthy relationships in their life. So whether you’re single, dating, or married, we will see you there!

INVITE
This is just a friendly reminder to KEEP INVITING PEOPLE TO CHURCH! We have all had our lives dramatically changed by making Jesus our Lord and Savior, and also by making church a priority in our lives. There are people that you know or see in this city that need what we have. It can be so easy to focus our lives on life’s distractions, but the truth is, God’s heart is all about reaching lost people. Let’s hook up with God’s heart and see a city saved!

ALIVE CONFERENCE
Our Alive Conference is right around the corner! Please do your very best to get young people there (jr. high, high school, and college). Click the link below to register and get more information:

First things first, we want to say a BIG thank you for what you do and the sacrifices you sometimes have to make to serve people each weekend! We hope you know there is great blessing and reward for putting God's house first and prioritizing not only being committed to Him, but being doers of His word and being committed to serving each other!

ALIVE CONFERENCE!!!!
Andrew Nava is so excited about the ALIVE conference that he bought shoes to match the logo!! HA!
Let's join his excitement and get the word out! This conference is going to impact the lives of hundreds of young people in our city. If your not excited about that, you need a pulse check! That's what Celebration is all about:
"Awakening a generation to know
God and make Him known!"
We need both generations working together, so let's rally behind 2SM and do our part to get students that we know there!
AND DON"T FORGET IT IS NOW FREE!!! NO CHARGE MEANS NO EXCUSE!!

NEXT TUESDAY<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

There will be a mandatory class this Tuesday for everyone who is getting baptized next weekend. This class will give you clear understanding about what it means to get baptized as well as all of the instructions for that day.
It will be at the Clovis campus at 7pm.

FAST FORWARD!

HUNGRY? WHY WAIT, JOIN THE FAST!!

Don't forget we are fasting in the month of January and going after God with everything we got! Yes, you will get hungry, but that's the point! Take that hunger toward God and let's get closer to Him this month than ever before. We believe as we do this, it will set us on course for a thriving year! As a body we are specifically fasting TOGETHER on Wednesdays and ending our fast with our Wednesday Night Gatherings. We are coming together to pray and seeking God. Pastor Randy will be leading the charge as God directs him on these nights, and we really believe as we gather God wants to show up and touch our lives in a real tangible way. This last Wednesday was awesome, and if you weren't there we hope you will make every effort to come next week! If you have any questions about fasting check out our website, ask a staff member or grab a handout at guest services this  weekend!

Here is a short audio clip of Pastor sharing some GREAT truths about fasting. This was recorded on Tuesday morning in our prayer time. (We spliced together some of the best parts of the recording and mashed it together.)

THRIVING

Hello Clovis Leaders! We hope that you all had an amazing Christmas this year, filled with lots of fun. Can you believe that the New Year is already approaching?! As a staff we strongly believe that this is going to be our best year yet! 2014 will be fantastic! - We aren't surviving, we're THRIVING!!!

Here is a wonderful excerpt from the book Today Matters by John Maxwell - one of the leading leaders of our day. As we step into 2014, consider applying the truths in this segment to launch you forward:

What Does Your Daily Agenda Say About You?

By John Maxwell

How would you describe your life? Are you achieving what you desire? Are you accomplishing the things that are important to you? Do you consider yourself a success? How do your prospects look for the future? If I could come to your house and spend just one day with you, I would be able to tell whether or not you will be successful. You could pick the day. If I got up with you in the morning and went through the day with you, watching you for 24 hours, I could tell in what direction your life is headed. When I tell this to people at conferences, there's always a strong reaction. Some people are surprised. Some get defensive because they think I would be making a snap judgment about them. A few get ticked off because they think my claim sounds arrogant. Others are intrigued and desire to know why I make such a statement. Here is why: I believe that the secret of your success is determined by your daily agenda. If you make a few key decisions and then manage them well in your daily agenda, you will succeed. You will never change your life until you change something you do daily. You see, success, doesn't just suddenly occur one day in someone's life. For that matter, neither does failure. Each is a process. Every day of your life is merely preparation for the next. What you become is the result of what you do today. In other words... You are preparing for something. The question is, What are you preparing for? Are you grooming yourself for success or failure? As my father used to tell me when I was growing up, "You can pay now, and play later, or you can play now and pay later. But either way, you are going to pay." The idea was that you can play and take it easy and do what you want today, but if you do, your life will be harder later. However, if you work hard now, on the front end, then you will reap rewards in the future. Think about it: What are you preparing for today? Success or failure? Does your daily agenda indicate that you make a habit of paying before you play? Answering these questions is a good predictor of what you will become tomorrow and in the future.

GOD ENCOUNTER: JANUARY 2014

Let’s set our expectation high as we embark on a special weekend with Damon Thompson! Invite your friends and family for an awesome weekend.

HOLLY JOLLY VOLUNTEERS

CLOVIS LEADERS! Christmas is practically here! As a staff, we want to wish you and your families a MERRY Christmas, and we hope that it’s the best one yet! We are so thankful to be a part of the Christmas season with you as we celebrate Jesus’ B-Day together. Let’s have a great time!

VOLUNTEER PREMIERE PARTY!
It is time to party! Here’s your invite for tomorrow night!

LET’S INVITE OUR BUTTS OFF!

Like our bold title indicates, we need to make a gigantic effort to see souls added to the kingdom of God this weekend! There are too many people counting on us for us to sit back on our booties now! Read this scripture and prayerfully consider who you are supposed to invite:

Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die; save them as they stagger to their death.
Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.
Proverbs 24:11

This weekend as you know, we are throwing out the net. We are going to see souls saved, so why not it be your friends and family?!
