A Muy Bueno Blog

Hello Leaders! Thanks for tuning in. We thought that today we could start the blog with a great leadership tip from Dr. Dave Martin! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did :)

VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION
This Sunday is our Volunteer Orientation! This is a quick, fun, meeting that we have with anyone that has recently started volunteering or is interested in jumping in.
It’s important that we allow others to step into our teams and see their lives impacted just as ours has. Who do you know that needs to be at the Orientation? Invite them to go, and plant a seed that will have a HUGE harvest!
Details:
- Sunday, July 28th
- Rainforest Classroom
- Starts 10 minutes after service is over

BACKPACK OUTREACH 2013

It is easy to take basic tools, like a pencil or paper, for granted. That is, unless you don’t have them.
Some children don’t have the pens, pencils, paper, backpack or other tools they need to succeed in school. And they know they can’t ask their parents to help – money is just too tight. School is a challenge each day, and a
But they don’t have to! You can help!
Please click HERE to see last week’s post for a detailed description of how you can help.

PRAYER TARGET: FAVOR!

The Bible says in Psalms 5:12 that God’s favor will surround us like a shield. If you’ve ever seen someone use a shield it goes out in front of them and...

It’s the first thing people encounter!

Let’s believe and pray that when we go out into our community, when we have business meetings, or even when we go to park our cars, that God’s favor goes before us!

God’s desire is to distinguish His children, not that we are better than anyone else, but so that we can make impact and attract those that are lost.

VOLUNTEER OF THE WEEK

STEPHANIE BRONSON!
Stephanie is one of a kind! You can find Stephanie in the Coffee Bar making the amazing slushies that we sell, or you might find her making cotton candy on a weekend! Stephanie is a key player on our campus. Her heart to serve people is a joy to be around and she's a person who truly fights for excellence. Stephanie is never afraid to step up and take initiative when she has a creative idea on how to do something better! Thank you Stephanie for going above and beyond whether that's in the Coffee Bar each weekend or during the week for your Outreach C Group! We love serving alongside you!

"Stephanie is one of those volunteers that makes you want to be better each weekend! I love her desire to see things be the best they can be to serve people.”

MAKE A CHANGE!

Hello Clovis Leaders!
Our team feels so privileged to work with you every week as we build the kingdom of God TOGETHER! For the health of the body of Christ, it is vital that we all stay connected in relationship to one another; that’s how God designed it! I know our team spends time during our week praying for you and your families, and we know that TOGETHER we are going to see this city won for Jesus!

PRAYER TARGET- Speaking Growth!
What’s coming out of your mouth? Are you using those two lips for good, or bad?
Just like Pastor Lance talked about this weekend in our vibe, let’s make sure to speak growth into our lives and into our Church. Together we have been called to reach this city, not just Pastor Randy! God put us together on a team to reach this Valley and we need your mouth to help point us in the right direction. So help us pray and declare those confessions we’ve given you over our Church and over your lives; it’s not enough just to have a strong Church, we need your life strong as well!

Click HERE to see our Confessions. (At the bottom of our Sept. 27th post)

BACKPACK OUTREACH!
We are just a few weeks away from launching one of the biggest city outreaches that Celebration puts on during the year- our BACKPACK OUTREACH!

This is the opportunity for us to step up, help people in our community, and MAKE A CHANGE! This outreach is targeted towards families that need assistance in providing backpacks and school supplies for their children.

So many children in our city never get the chance to properly grow and develop in their education because they are not equipped to do so. In the past when we’ve had this event, words cannot describe the joy on children and parent’s faces when they received their backpacks. What’s even more amazing is seeing those same families show up to church and get saved, all because of a backpack!

Here are some quick details:
* Saturday, August 10th we will be hosting the event in the front of the Manchester Mall.
* To volunteer at the event, please sign-up at the Connection Point Tables.
* Below is a backpack supply list.
* You can purchase a pre-filled backpack for $15 at the Table.
* If you or a family that you know need assistance in this area, please go to the Table a pick-up a registration form.

Irresistible Environment!

The first weekend of August, we have the great privilege of having both Glen Berteau and Dr. Dave Martin join us! Some of you may not know who Dr. Dave Martin is, so here is a brief video that will help introduce you to him.

At Celebration we never glorify a man, but there are men and women that God is using greatly on this Earth that we can learn from, and allow God to speak through to us.

Please make sure you are there for this power packed weekend!

Ingredients for an IRRESISTIBLE ENVIRONMENT

How do we create an environment that is irresistible? How do we as leaders make Celebration a place that people want to come to over and over again? Here are some tangible ways that we can achieve this goal:

Be a person that expects God to move in a BIG way!
- Our efforts alone can't affect our community, we need God's involvement in EVERYTHING we do!

Use your smile!
- No one wants to go back to a bunch of grumps! Help us greet people with a smile and a hello, you never know how big of an impact that can make in someone's life. And don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone to engage others; they are looking for someone to make the first move.

Participate!
- Leaders don't sit on the sidelines, leaders lead! We need your help to create a fun atmosphere, where people can be excited, where they can laugh, or dance, and to ultimately feel free to be who they are created to be. By setting the tone of the service you can help someone else experience the same freedom you have discovered.

Ownership!
- We hope that by now you don't see our Clovis Campus as just a building, but as your 2nd home. By picking up trash that you see on the ground or cleaning up that clumsy person's coffee spill you are protecting that ideal environment that we need and taking care of the home that God has given all of us.

You all have been doing such a great job creating a friendly, fun place for people; let's keep the momentum going!

Amazing Weekend, Amazing Oppurtunity

Have you ever been somewhere that just blew you away? I'm talking about amazing service, amazing atmosphere, amazing food. Those places stick with you long after you leave, you tell your friends about it, you go back again and again. For me that is Chic-Fil-A, if you have not had Chic-Fil-A before I HIGHLY recommend it. I go there as often as I can and continue to take people there time and time again. If you don't know what Chic-Fil-A is, it is a "fast food" restaurant that has amazing chicken and amazing customer service. They do what they do very well and as a result, the word spreads through their customers like wild fire. Every time I go it's packed, every time. Chic-Fil-A is passionate about what they do, basically they are passionate about chicken. But I realized something, the time and attention they put in to what they do, is for a piece of chicken. Now imagine if we created the same environment and experience as Chic-Fil-A, but at church. Instead of chicken we have something far greater, we have hope for the hopeless, a love that is unconditional, and the answer to so many of life's problems- it's greater than a piece of chicken. So, how do we make this amazing "product" turn into an amazing experience? Well it's simple, by being the best at what we do every weekend, every handshake, every smile, every usher, every parking attendant, every KIC Check in personnel, every volunteer plays a part in cultivating an amazing experience. And if we do our part, I guarantee that God will do His. He specializes in changing lives! We have this AMAZING weekend coming up, and we also have an AMAZING opportunity to do our part, by inviting, by serving, and by praying that this weekend people leave and can't stop talking about the experience they had.

God Encounter Weekend
This weekend is going to be huge! Pastor is back and we have Damon Thompson with us Saturday Night and Sunday Night. Our campers and counselors will be back from CAMP13 on fire for God and ready to make the weekend even greater! Sunday Night will also be a special night for G4:2 students, we will be graduating the second years and launching them into their next season of life. All weekend long we will have attractions and fun for all of the kids with things such as: balloon animals, face painting, and otter pops! Be sure to bring the kids and even invite other families that you know so their kids and parents can experience an amazing weekend! This is a weekend you can't afford to miss so be ready to be impacted forever this weekend!
