Brighter Days Ahead!

Hello Clovis Volunteers! We hope that you had a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family and that Santa brought you everything you could have ever wanted! If Santa failed you, remember, don't stop asking God! He's your loving Father who wants this next year to be the best year of your life yet!

A couple weeks ago, Pastor prophesied over this next year and said that we would have a bigger harvest in 2013 than all the years put together- Now that is something to be excited about! Let's mix faith with that and go into this next year with great momentum for souls to be saved, and for our lives to get brighter and brighter!

While you're walking around the church this weekend, here are what we like to call some---

CONVERSATION STARTERS:

  • Special Sunday Night service on January 6th with Damon Thompson! There is absolutely an evangelistic call on this man's life to see the unchurched get saved, but there won't be anyone there to hear the message unless we get people there! Start inviting people now to this amazing weekend just up ahead.
  • Men's and Women's Workshop! From January 16th to March 6th on Wednesday nights, the entire family is encouraged to come and be apart of these powerful nights.
*Men sign-ups have already started at the Connection Point tables and we have an Early Bird special of $20 as long as you pay before the 16th. This cover charge takes care of dinner and materials for 8 whole weeks! What a deal! (Regular price $25)

  • Baptisms! When we choose to follow Jesus, it’s important we don’t keep the good news to ourselves. Jesus asks us to celebrate that decision with our family, friends, and community around us through baptism. Baptisms will be taking place on Wednesday, January 9th, at 7pm. Sign-up this weekend at the Connection Point!
There are some things that you can help us spread the word on. Remember, it's our job as leaders to point people to where they should go. God didn't intend for our lives to get better and then stop there, NO! His intent was for us to get fixed so we could help fix someone else.

THIS WEEKEND!!!
Let's be aggressive these next few days in inviting people to church! There are ALWAYS opportunities around us to invite people. Turn boring, mundane days into days of adventure as you seek out who you can impact. We promise you that your life will take on a whole new light!

VOLUNTEER OF THE WEEK

MISSY DAVIS!!!

Your children are talented, but not talented enough to pull off two Christmas songs all by themselves last weekend! They had the wonderful help of Missy leading them pouring a tremendous amount of energy into making that part of the service a great success. Missy has helped in Big KIC for a while now and brings her very best to the table to ensure that your children aren't just being baby-sitted but that they are walking away from every weekend full of God and His Word. Thank you Missy for going above the call of duty to help us have a great children's ministry- we love you!

Thank you Volunteers for what you do every week. This life is just a vapor the Bible says, and you are investing your vapor wisely! Thank you!

VOLUNTEER OF THE WEEK

Natalie Lopez!

Natalie has been a huge help to making KIC the best place to be for kids. You may have recently seen her and her husband bringing joy to all the tiny tots in Clovis with face paintings- of which they do a fabulous job! She comes early to help with whatever KIC needs and brings an amazing energy level with her! As a staff, we also wanted to commend Natalie for stepping in to help out another Volunteer when they were in need recently- because that's what family is all about! - taking care of one another :). Thank you Natalie for all your help and for making Celebration a wonderful place to be!

We love you all! Let's finish this year strong! Remember- this month is a gateway into a new season; how you finish one season, is how you'll start the next!

Here's a look at our Clovis Campus:

CHRISTMAS OUTREACHES

CELEBRATE FAMILY

Clovis leaders, this is our LAST WEEKEND to pick up names for our Celebrate Family Outreach! Remember that these children and families are our own Celebration family that we have a responsibility to help.

There are 197 Children which represents 62 families at our church. That is a very attainable goal!

HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

We are linking arms with our community to provide toys for children that might not otherwise receive anything this year. Celebration has set a goal of donating 500 toys to this organization which will make huge impact in our city!

The 16th of December (Sunday) will be the last opportunity to bring these gifts for Hope for the Holidays and Celebrate Family. And we want to encourage you to do what you can. Whatever you can do to get involved- even if that means partnering up with somebody. The Bible teaches us that whatever we give we will get back, even in greater measure! Pray and ask God what you are supposed to do for our Celebration Family and our city, and let's have a great Christmas together!

CHRISTMAS VOLUNTEER PARTY

There are definitely some perks to Volunteering, and because you do we are officially inviting you to party with us on December 14th- next Friday night! The fun kicks off at 7pm and will go until 9pm- after that we will encourage you to stop by at Denny's :).

Please bring your favorite dessert to share (finger food) and we'll take care of the rest!

Hot Chocolate Bar, Battle of the Areas, Christmas Karaoke, Fun for the kids, Giveaways throughout the night, and even a Wildest Christmas Sweater Competition!

(The person with the wildest Christmas sweater has the opportunity to win a great prize, and anyone is welcome to participate!)

ON THE WALL PRAYER

Prayer is a part of Celebration's DNA. That's the bottom line. Just like you can't escape your own physical traits caused by your DNA (big nose, wide set eyes, receding hair line, etc.) Celebration can't function without the POWER OF PRAYER!

On a personal note, in a staff meeting, we began to realize how prayer has completely changed our lives. We can't imagine life without it and we wouldn't want to! And the best way to learn and become comfortable with praying, is by praying! We learned that prayer is caught, rather than taught and now we have become junkies.!

Come join us on Wednesday nights from 7pm to 8pm. One hour that will bring some power into your life!

                                                  VOLUNTEER OF THE WEEK

                                                         ANTHONY WALCOTT!

If you do not know Anthony yet, there is a piece of life that you are missing! Anthony is nothing less than an outstanding gentleman that treats everyone with love, compassion, and sincerity. He has been serving on the Security Team for a long time now and always comes in ready to help, even if he's not on the schedule. He's recruited other volunteers to help us on the weekends and is the perfect definition of a team player! Thank you Anthony for being such a great volunteer and friend to so many. We appreciate you greatly!

Thank you Clovis Leaders! Let's go into this weekend with fresh vision and faith for what God is going to do!

Clovis Campus

P.S- Also stay connected with what's going on at the Clovis Campus on our website. We have a Campus blog that is open to everyone and a monthly Event's Calendar. Love you guys!
